Amen: “May It Be”

“The whole earth is at rest,
and is quiet” (Isaiah 14: 7a, KJV).

May 2026 be the year in which
we “refuse the evil, and choose
the good” (Isaiah 7:15, KJV).

May we: “Take heed, and be quiet;
fear not, neither be faint hearted”
(Isaiah 7: 4, KJV).

“The people that walked in darkness
have seen a great light:
they that dwell in the land of

the shadow of death,
upon them hath
the light shined” (Isaiah 9: 2, KJV).

Edward Hicks: The Peaceable Kingdom (Oil on canvas, ca. 1834, National Gallery of Art)

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
and the calf and the young lion and

the fatling together; and a little child
shall lead them. And the cow and the bear
shall feed; their young ones shall lie down

together: and the lion shall eat straw
like the ox. And the suckling child shall
play on the hole of the asp, and the

weaned child shall put his hand on
the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt
nor destroy in all my holy mountain:

for the earth shall be full of the knowledge
of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”
(Isaiah 11: 6-9).

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for this day,
your Light overcoming the Darkness.

May I honor your Name living a life of
Truth and Love knowing the Grace and Peace

of Jesus and the Holy Spirit (2 John 1: 1-6).
Thank you for shelter and daily bread.

Please forgive my failings. Help me to forgive others.
Protect me from temptation and deliver me from Evil.

May my prayer always be in accordance
with your will (1 John 5: 14).
